Summation value

The summation value is a commonly used method of valuing forest holdings. The summation value consists of the values of the soil, seedlings and stands, as well as the so-called expected value. The components of the summation value are retrieved from the summation value tables, which makes the method easy to use. On the other hand, the total value method involves various correction factors (e.g. correction of the total value), the use of which requires expertise. The popularity of the summation value is based in particular on the ease of use and flexibility of the method.
